The Eastern Economic Forum was founded by Decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to which it is held annually in Vladivostok.
MAIN TASKS OF EEF:
To strengthen ties between the international investment community, Russian business, federal, regional and local authorities;
To give a comprehensive, expert assessment of the economic potential of the Russian Far East and raise the region’s competitiveness and investment appeal at both the Russian and the international level;
To present new conditions for investing and doing business: priority development areas, Free Port Vladivostok, state support for promising investment projects.
As part of the EEF, an entire pool will be presented of promising Russian and foreign investment projects suitable for implementation in practice. The authors of the projects give detailed presentations to potential investors, containing the economic feasibility studies the latter need for decision-making purposes.
The head of the Eastern Economic Forum Organizing Committee is Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev.
