August 8-9, Guangzhou.

The Russian delegation, which will include representatives from the government and business community of the Far Eastern Federal District, will showcase the economic and investment potential of the Far East and outline promising areas for cooperation. Around 100 entrepreneurs from China will participate in the presentations and working sessions.

"The People's Republic of China is one of the strategic partners of the Russian Federation. Relations between our countries are at the highest level in history and continue to develop. Maintaining and fostering time-tested friendly ties is a necessary condition for ensuring global stability," said the Russian President's Plenipotentiary in the Far Eastern Federal District, Yuri Trutnev.

More than 800 topics have been submitted to the Roscongress Foundation's crowdfunding platform for the 2024 Eastern Economic Forum. These ideas have been contributed by 279 people, 25 of whom will receive invitations to the forum.

Among the ideas:

the formation of a unified economic space in the Asia-Pacific region;

utilizing the potential of seaports to strengthen trade relations;

strengthening social and transport infrastructure;

creating new targeted benefit programs for regional residents;

freight transportation in the Arctic zone;

digitalization and robotization of processes in extreme conditions;

developing domestic tourism;

environmental security in the Arctic and other issues.

"The topics proposed by the participants are reflected in the published architecture of the Eastern Economic Forum's business program. I am convinced that the ideas considered within the project will be of great significance for the further development of Russia's Far East and the Asia-Pacific region as a whole, and will form the basis for concrete decisions aimed at improving the conditions and quality of life for the country's and region's residents," emphasized Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of Russia.
