The First Russian Christmas Ball took place in Bucharest

 

The event was organized by a Creative Group of friends with the support of the Russian Embassy and the Chamber of Economic and Cultural Cooperation between Romania and Russia.

The ball combined the atmosphere of the 19th century and modernity: opera arias and contemporary New Year songs were performed, creating a unique mix of eras. Guests enjoyed dances popular in the past century and beloved festive music.

Before the ball, there were masterclasses in ballroom dancing, where participants learned the polonaise, figurative and Spanish waltz, padegra, padepatinier, polka-trio, Russian lyrical dance, and quadrille. This allowed the guests to deeply feel the spirit of the era and move confidently at the ball.

The event became a bright cultural occasion for Russian compatriots and representatives of different countries — enthusiasts of Russian culture, classical music, and dance.
