Romanian economic mission to the Russian Federation

The representatives of the Romanian business community continue their actions abroad, actions whose purpose is to uphold existing relations of collaboration and to identify new business partners. The Prahova Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which recently concluded an economic mission to the Russian Federation, is also an example in this sense.

From June 27 to July 1, the Prahova Chamber of Commerce and Industry carried out an economic mission to the Russian Federation, organised in collaboration with the Romanian-Russian Chamber of Economic and Cultural Cooperation. The Romanian delegation was led by Aurelian Gogulescu, Chairman of the Prahova Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He was accompanied by a delegation of businessmen representing several fields: production of oil industry equipment, consultancy in the field of wood and metals, business consultancy, services and products related to the oil and gas industry, alcoholic beverage production, IT consultancy. “The Romanian delegation had a very busy schedule which included business meetings at the Russian Federation’s Chamber of Commerce – including meetings with its Chairman Sergey Katyrin – and at the Moscow Chamber of Commerce, the Sankt Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and the Yaroslav Chamber of Commerce. This economic mission came as a response to the interest shown by numerous Romanian companies willing to develop commercial relations with partners from Russia, and, through the meetings that took place, direct contacts were established with the local business sector, contacts necessary to get to know, as profoundly as possible, and to identify opportunities and projects for cooperation and investments,” the representatives of the Prahova Chamber of Commerce and Industry pointed out in a press release.

It is worth pointing out that this economic mission took place against the backdrop of bilateral interest in intensifying Romanian-Russian trade, and sought to establish face-to-face meetings with the representatives of the local business sector, with the goal of getting to know and to identify opportunities for cooperation and investments with the Russian Federation.
