Exhibition of Technological Art Opens at the Yandex Museum

The Yandex Museum has opened an exhibition titled "Digital Refractions," dedicated to the interaction between humans and technology.

This exhibition features works by artists who use neural networks, VR, and other technologies in their creations. It is the first contemporary art exhibition at the Museum, prepared in collaboration with the Art & Science Center of ITMO University.

The exhibition includes works by artists Kami Usu, SYMETRIA, Nadezhda Bey, Veronika Kislova, Danila Logvinenko, Anna Pryakhina, Alexander Pogrebnyak, and Anton Shchegolev. They used a variety of tools and technologies in their works, ranging from oscilloscopes to virtual reality effects and neural networks.

Visitors to the exhibition will see objects and installations that allow them to feel part of virtual reality and gain new experiences. For example, they can try a device that interprets people's emotions, learn how an embryo perceives the world, and hear what information noise sounds like.

Additionally, they will be able to try on a digital avatar that will mimic their actions using motion capture sensors.

On weekdays, guests will explore the exhibits on their own. On weekends and holidays, guided tours will be available, conducted by curators from the Yandex Museum and the Art & Science Center. Moreover, the exhibition will feature public lectures, workshops, and discussions on contemporary art. The program can be found on the event's website.

The exhibition will run until June 12, 2024. It takes place at the Yandex Museum near the Paveletskaya metro station (Sadovnicheskaya Street, 82s2, Aurora Business Center).
